Our Storage Environment is Netapp. We tried to limit the parallels backup copy operations with limited streams, but encountering the same issue. Can someone please share their experience if encountered previously.

Hello, I have 1 Client with the following agents VSA and SQL Agent we use CV11.32.73. A VSA Backup runs every day. The SQL Agent discovered 3 instances. On one instance a sql backup runs every day.The two other instances has no scheduler and storage policy. I looked at SLA Report but I cannot find these instances. I don't use "Exclude from SLA" at sql subclient or client group level. When I look into commandcenter protect - databases I see the two instances with SLA status “Excluded”Can anyone tell me why SLA Report don't show me the two instances? Roland

 Here is a screenshot of the current status of the ddb.   Backups are running over desired time windows with 98.27% of load being ddb lookups.   We are close to capacity currently with backup storage though this will be resolved soon.   How can we resolve the high DDB lookup % issue?DDB and job status screenshots below.

Here's a summary of the steps and issues encountered:The installation starts normally, I select French as the language and accept the license agreement. I choose the "Install on Local Machine" option and select the latest maintenance release (131). Hello team!In case of enabling mfa for ALL users / groups, Im wondering if there is any “backdoor” for admin user.In case of lost Microsoft Authenticator app and email access, is there any way to restore access to Commcell, even with help of Commvault supoprt?I cant decide if it’s preferred to enable mfa for all admins (master) users or to leave one admin user without mfa (with a strong password) in case of backdoor.Please for your thoughts.

Hello:My IT security colleague wants to know if we can manually update the version of Python that is installed on the Commvault server. We have version 3.11 on the server and they are receiving alerts about possible vulnerabilities in the version and that is why they want the most updated version.

In the current Commvault version 10SP15, how can I protect files in the SYSVOL folder located on the DC in an AD domain environment? Are there any related resolution cases? What should I do if the files in the SYSVOL folder on the DC are accidentally deleted? There is only one DC.

Hello dear Commvault Communiy,I have a question about the CommCell split. I hope there is someone here who has done a CommCell split before.We installed a second CommServe, got two AuthCodes from Commvault (each for a CommServe) and exported the Files via CommCell Migration. When importing the filed into a new CommServe, an error occurs with the code (106:3). There is hardly anything to be found in the logs. Can anyone do something with the error code? 

Hi Guys,I have disk library with 8 MPs inside and 1 of them selected /plan for decommission as i dont need it or must destroy hardware under it (mean plan for decommission as selected on MP level “disable MP for new data” + “prevent data block references for new backup” 1st mine question is why CV still, after so many years on market,  have no possibility to decomm MP. Mean here simple click on MP from GUI and then options “decomm it” which will move/spill from that MPs to other MPs in the same library all data (jobs) and  dedup data for jobs ?  And again as probably will be here such suggestion i dont want move MP to other place  as i want to get rid of it and have clean environment beside to remeber that MP called X is laying here but i real is not need :( ! But as i have not what i want i must take longer way to achieve what i want so wait till data decommiss ….here lucky if user have not INFINITIVE retention as then CV is as child “can not do anything”But let imagine that we have 1

Our SLA’s for postgres need to be excluded or are consistently missed.  We are using FS based backups, and it appears the SLA is looking for dump based backups.  Any idea how to fix this and have it look at the FS backups when reporting on SLA? Thanks- Chris

Hello Team,Recently we created a configuration with Commvault and StoreOnce Catalytsi discovered about 3 days ago that when i trigger full backups the fail with this error Error Code: [13:244] Description: [Media write operation failure] [HP-StoreOnce media] [Error writing to the media.]There are 3 vms with this error.i did tried to backup one disk at a time as a test and it seemed to work fine, but when it comes to the c: drive backup are failing with this error.just to mention that connectivity is over the net. Has anyone had a problem like this before ? i’ll be helpfull if anyone of you can help. Kind Regrds

Hello,Some question about the Storage policy to plan conversionI have let say 10 storage policies.SP1 to SP10The schedule policy associated to these Storage policy is always the same  : Schedule_Policy_ inc daily _8PM_synth_full_Sun_10PMI created a test Storage policy with a few clients.I ran the Plan conversion App.The SP was converted to Plan.I noticed that the schedule policy Schedule_Policy_ inc daily _8PM_synth_full_Sun_10PM has been disabled during the conversion and It is a normal behavior.But it means that other storage policies that are not yet converted will not be backup up until I convert them ? Also I noticed that the synthetic full full backup schedule was not taken into account during the conversion Thanks for you help !

Hi!We’ve recently moved media-agents to new servers, and i’m now in the process of “cleaning up”. And for 3 of the 4 media-agents the report showed nothing, and i could delete the mediaagent without any issue. However, for the last media-agent, it complains about “Proxy Server to Perform Intellisnap Backup Operations”, and lists a client name, a backupset name, and a subclient name.This was “correct”, because there was a subclient there with that name that was configured for intellisnap (but not in use, and had no backups). So i deleted the subclient… but even so, now several days later, when i try to delete the media-agent, the report still complains about the same “issue”. I could ofcourse just ignore the “warning” and proceed with the deletion, but i’d much prefer for the report to show that there is no association, before proceeding with the deletion.

Hi Team, How can I query the last backup date of a Vmware VM?According to the checks I made, the GUID of the VM related to the API named VMs is determined first. Then, with this GUID, we can access the information of the specific VM using the API named VM Details. Would this way be correct? Is there a shorter way you suggest ?

Hello Team, In the next year we have plan to switch access for adminsitrators from CommCell Consol to WebConsole. Becuase Commvault decided to not continue new features from JAVA console.And question what is best practise for secure Commserver server when only WebConsole will be avaialble in our infrastrcture, some jumphost from where administrators has access, or dedicated server only for WebConsole services?Maybe push the Commserve Server to DMZi?Current we have Commvault access by jumphost dedicated for a region. Regards, Michal 

We have doubt about Disable WORM storage lock feature.Currently we are on 11.32.59 and storage is Netapp GRID and HPE Catalyst.We are planning to enable the Storage lock feature. If in case we have to disable the WORM storage lock once enabled, we have to follow the below steps.https://support.commvault.com/Article/Details/82504 In our environment we dont have SMTP configured.What is the workaround here? Please advise.  

I am trying to export the old backed up mailbox to a PST but it showed error that “Selected items size [43524715222 bytes] exceed max size allowed to export [26843545600 bytes]”. I could not split the folder as it is just one folder [Inbox]. Any idea how to resolve this? Thank you.
