Commserv Version is 11.28, while doing the push installtion on windows 2012 and 2016 clientsbut am getting the below errorError Code: [68:175] Description: Failed to install File System Core Package, could not determine processor/OS type of client.Please help on this

So we are using smtp journaling and the location we are journaling to continues to grow in space. I am not sure why. I have run full back up jobs on the content store mailbox, i have ran cleanup against it as well. When clean up runs it only clears out the recent emails that came. However the path smtpmailcache\mailboxes\inbox have about 140GB of mail items. Am i able to remove all those messages? My retention on that mailbox is 1 day however i have 153 folders and growing in that inbox location. Any advice would be apricated.

Hi, Unchecking the option Enable Physical Pruning will disable macro or micro pruning? Or both?   What is the difference between that option and the Enable pruning of aged data (Mount Path Property) below?    

Hi, could someone please explain how the Legal Hold setting in a storage policy works?  So here is my situation, so basically I have a single server within this storage policy that needs to be set to infinite retention on all subsequent backups going forward.  Not sure if Legal Hold is the right way to do this, so any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.

Could you confirm as to whether Commvault can be used to backup a CIFS when mounted on a Windows Server?

Hi all.At times we get the below error when something have happened to the Archive log files. Description: PostgreSQL Database: The Data backup has failed. Archive Log files are missing preventing this job from completing on Instance [XXX] Client [XXX]. Please run a FULL backup.  It would be beneficial if the job could automatically convert to a full, instead of killing the job manually, and then start a full. hello All, we were using disk library and 2 physical server as our MA , recently we procured hyperscale x 3 nodes and created a cluster , and storage policy and we created aux copy in all the storage policy and copied all the data , then we switch it to as the primary copy , we decommissioned our old media agent , now we are getting old ddb related alerts and job failure i have disassociated old MA from system schedule policy   please help me how to get clean of old disb library ,MA , dedup engine and databases , can someone help me necessary steps to take Alert: Commserv Anomaly Alert Type: Operation - Admin Alert   The system detected an unusual drop in the pruning performance for the following databases in commcell

Upgrade from 11.24.90 to 11.28.56HelloI upgraded last from 11.24 to 11.28 to essentially upgrade the SQL DB last weekI noticed when doing my before the weekend space checks, that each mount path in the disk library now had 100 GB allocated, this was previously 2 GBI’m sure there is a good reason?My problem is, my customer has multiple mount paths in his library, never enough space and now has lost some more space in his disk libraryIf anyone could share the reasons for the increase and whether reducing back to 2GB is actually sensible - that would be great!Many thanksMark

Hello everyone,  I just noticed my file server backups are not aging out following the upgrade to 11.30.32.  My file server has the CommVault client installed and I do incremental backups throughout the week with synthetic full backups on Friday night.  The last synthetic full backup of the month is retained for a year and the last Syn-Full of the year is retained for 3 years.  Does anyone have suggestions on what to check?

We have a physical system that we will eventually move to virtual platform. But - i dont want to try to do anything to this system until  ihave a disk image backup. How would one take a disk image backup and point it to our media agent. Im familiar with the bare metal recovery process but curious how to take the backup. Is it just the system state?Physcal system backups are not my strongpoint.

Hello everyone.  I am trying to configure a job to be killed on a specific time.. I have some VM Backup jobs that can not run after 6:00AM. I already configured to be killed automatically after X hours of duration, but the issue is.. They don't start everyday on same time.. They don't have a specific time to be started. But i need to configure to be killed on a specific time.

Hello Commvault Community,Looking at this thread, I understand that IndexServer copies for V2 indexing are not recommended to be copied to tape media.However, what if we have situations where there are certain jobs on the tape that are the only last ones left and block the possibility of recycling this tape media? I checked for this StoragePolicy and these tasks are on both DiskLibrary and TapeLibrary (we care about disposal of these tapes, where the last blocking task is the BigDataApps task). Can we safely delete them, being sure that it will not affect the ability to restore the data? I've also seen entries to do Media Refresh for tapes that also have this problem, but then what? What is the most sensible way out of this situation, right after disabling IndexServer backups to tapes (if I understand correctly, it is recommended to disable it, right?) I have attached some screenshots to help you understand the situation. Thanks for help,Kamil

Hi team, I’m conducting a PoC for MongoDB sharded cluster.Customer runs two shards and each shard has 3nodes. (1 primary and 2 secondary)We’ve installed plug-in on all 6 nodes and all configuration went well. For 1st shard, we performed the initial full backup without any option.For second shard,we performed the initial full backup with some option for better performance....… Backup performance is not bad in the beginning. (100-150MB/sec)Backup size of shard is 5TB and should be able to complete the job within 20hrs.So performance need to be higher than 80-100MB/sec at least. Backup server and Mongodb nodes spec is enough and resources are always available.But backup peformance is gradually degraded as time goes by and comes to 5-6MB/sec.We’ve never completed the initial backup due to this unexpected performance degradation.Mongodb data is on SSD and connected with 10Gb network for backup. CVLT version is 11.28 and also tried 11.26 but the same result.I’m sure that installation and set
