I have noticed when Auxcopying my Oracle logs and databases that the Auxcopy job sits at 99% and then copies a number of streams, goes into a waiting state and the select another bunch of streams. Can someone advise how the running Auxcopy job selects which “jobs to be copied to process” and whether there are any settings we can make to reduce the waiting state between selections. (Please note I am not asking how to mark jobs to be copied, but how the running Auxcopy selects the marked jobs)

After upgrading our Commvault environment from 11.26.35 to 11.28.18 we have problems browsing mailboxes. We also don't see any teams or sharepoint sites.When I browse a mailbox, the following message appears in the Commcell Console: "A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host failed to respond." On the Command Center I get the message: "This operation may take a long time. Please be patient."I suspect there is a problem with the CommServe DB, because we have a warning that the Commserve database tables are too large (8.52 GB) I have already run a DB Full Maintenance job what not solve the problem.The backup jobs that night ran through without error messages. Hello everyone,I need to configure two additional jump servers to open the netx.jar file and access the console.The Commvault infrastructure in place has separate servers for Commserve, Webserver and MediaAgents.Using the 'Port Requirements for Commvault' documentation page, I already opened the following ports :- Jump > WebServer. TCP 80-81-443- Jump > CommServe. TCP 8401But it seems it's not enough to have this properly working.SSO is not properly recognized, and none of them is going to the point of opening the console.I'm probably still missing a few ports. Could you please help me pinpoint which ones are still missing ?

We are doing an Active Directory backup on a daily schedule.Though all objects seem to show up in a restore window with the latest timestamp, the Microsoft tool>repadmin.exe /showbackupshows old timestamps, as if there has never ran an AD backup.Has anyone else encountered this discrepancy? Is this by design or a misconfiguration on our side?Thanks for any suggestions.Mark 

HiIs there a way to assign Virtual VM’s to a ‘Null’ subclient so theyDont get backed up and Dont fall through to the default subclient I could use a subclient with Activity disabled, but that raises a second (smaller problem)  The other option (But it doesnt seem to work) is to have a Wildcard filter all VMs for a “Null’ subclient , but a single wildcard is not possible, but creating a few regex [a-z]* OR’d with [0-9]* could work 

Hi,Sometimes during deployment on Linux machines installer fails to start. Sometimes after some digging I can chase it down to noexec policy on /tmp and/or /home directory. There is a way to change default tmp directory using push installation, there is a unixTempDirectory property in xml file passed during silent installation, but is there a parameter I can pass to override this during local, interactive installation using cvpkgadd?

HiI’m having some troubles with Teams backup in particular when customer enabled MFA after express configuration for the global admin account, backup stopped working - the Azure app has invalid token status.I’ve got a support involved in this and among other things they recommend to: Exclude the service accounts that are created by the express configuration from the following policies: Modern authentication policies Automatic password reset policies https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/essential/134545_use_express_configuration_option_in_office_365_guided_setup_for_teams.html I don’t believe that would be the issue because it worked before and stopped after enabling MFA for global admin but despite this I would like to check this. I’ve asked some folks about this but no one can tell me what exactly is  Modern authentication policies Automatic password reset policies and where to find this in Azure portal. Can anyone share some more light about where I can find this? Cheer

Hello all, I have some auxiliaries copies with deduplication and for some ddbs (not all) of these copies i have a partition offline, i cant see the reason for this because the configuration is the same between the 2 partitions, and i have some ddbs where this media agent is online.This is an example where the partition is offline:  This an example where the same media agents have a partitioned ddb and they are both online: What more can i see to make easy to understand what i am doing wrong? Regards,João Amaral

Hi All, is it correct that's not possible to backup all file version during OneDrive backup ?  https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/130942_backups_for_onedrive_for_business.html  You can back up only the latest version of a file from the OneDrive for Business user account. If you back up the same file multiple times, then different versions of that file appear in the Browse window.  In the SharePoint contents it is possible.

I found an old manual:You can instruct the backup procedure to save open files by using the /IGNORE=INTERLOCK qualifier on the BACKUP command. When you use the /IGNORE=INTERLOCK qualifier, the contents of the file at the moment of the backup are saved.The /IGNORE=INTERLOCK qualifier is useful for files that are constantly open (and would therefore not otherwise be saved). However, you must recognize that you might be saving inconsistent data, depending on the applications that are writing to the open files (for example, open application transactions or file data cached in memory). Hi,I would like to create a client group based on an windows AD computer group, is there an existing way of doing this.If this is not possible and I have a dump of the AD group how can I script the creation or the addition of these computers to a Commvualt client group.

if I’m not wrong, the reports in feature release 11.21 the reports were generated with name alongwith the jobid, in 11.22 it again changed back to just the name that we provide. Is there a way to append the jobid of the report alongwith the reportname (Report custom name) that we provide

Hi, maybe you have an idear :)  We are migration index V2 from 1 vm to another vm. the index is used only for Exchange Online Backups.  The migration time is very slow ! We had 750 Mailbox so 750 Indexes and it takes 15 minuts for each mailbox. I looks like an timeout or an wait ore something like this.  The side effect is that the recall is not working for all mailboxes.

On Gmail backups, some of the user backups are getting failed due to account is offline or something? is there an easy method to find out the failed users list from the backup job.

Hi I have started to work with a new customer, and this customer are using Commvault LiveSync, and one thing that are making my attention, and there for this questions.  When looking into the client group “CVLiveSync”, I can see mutiple groups with or without clients inside. I can of course see the client group called “CVLiveSync”, that have the active and passive node.But I can also see other client groups, that have normal Commvault Clients inside.  Is that normal for the client group “CVLiveSync”, that you put also normal Commvault clients into this client group? I would except that this client group “CVLiveSync” would only contain one group only contain the active and passive node. Or am I wrong here? Thanks in advance! 

Hello all,we had to delete some mountpathes a few weeks ago without problems. Now we get some jobs “DeleteMountPathAuthorization”, but the pathes are deleted already. Is there a way to get rid of these jobs? After killing the jobs we get the jobs queued again after a while. Thank you.

Hello all,maybe you can help me!?The following situation at the customer:Linux system with HANA DB (all HANA specific filesystems connected via NFS)the customer has one IP for the host and one VIP (+DNS) for HANA (same subnet). The idea is that he can move the HANA system to a stronger host at any time without having to change anything in the HANA configuration (hence NFS).How do I manage to add the system 2 times in Commvault (1 x under its real host name for OS backups and 1 x as virtual system with the VIP and the HANA DB name (DNS entry for the VIP) for all HANA specific connections? So far Commvault takes sometimes one and sometimes the other IP as primary IP when I create the client and when I want to include the other one I fail. Under Dataprotector this was easy, because there was the possibility to enter a virtual host. So the DB integrations could run over the VIP (and it didn't matter where the DB was running) and the host backup over the host entryBest regards Frank

Hi all,after reviewing and accepted or denied all documents present in a request, the status of the documents is not updated. Only after several attempts to move between the tabs of activate, it updates and I see the "complete review" or "request approval" access keys appear.  The currently installed version is 11.28.10
