Hi,Every day, after backups, VM machines are discovered that are not used for backup and do not have agents installed. Removing them from "client compters" doesn't help. VMs have never been used for backup. I ran tests on another environment and after removing the VM this situation did not occur.Commvault version is 11.24.90. The situation was the same before the upgrade.Is there a way to turn off auto discovery from vcenter? 

We have just added some new Hyperscale X to our environment, and new disk libraries created.I want to move/ copy some jobs with extended retention rule to the newly created libraries. Please what is the best possible way to do this? Thank you in advance.

Hello Commvault Community,I have an issue with Large VMware Backup with Commvault. VM size is around 1.6 TB, I have also enabled “File system and application consistent” for the VM.The backup has been successful, but at the removing snapshot process VM is stuck/hang and VM will go offline from the networks perspective and be in a snapshot removal state, pretty much unusable. I have to reset the VM manually.Here what we have : VSA : Win2016 11.32.35Transport Type : HotAddMA : RHEL 11.32.35 Please suggest.

Hello Team,I want clarification of DDB disk for an each disk library. We have three different storage hardware devices for different disk libraries.First disk library will use primary backup data, another disk library for monthly (selective monthly copy) and third disk library for Yearly backup (selective yearly copy) .These all three disk libraries configured in one media agent server.Just want to know each disk library will configure individual DDB disk or one disk will use these three disk libraries.Please advise.Thanks in advance.

I have a Commvault Commserver environment v11.28.115.  When I installed Commvault Commserver it initially had v11.28.32 but then I had to update the Commvault software and deployed Maintenance release 115 on top.   Then I was about to deploy the Commserve failover package using the Media Kit v11.28.32 but then it complained that the existing Commvault software is higher than the kit I was trying to install.How can I integrate the Maintenance release 115 in my installation process such that when I initiate the install of Commvault failover package using the v11.28.32 Media Kit the installation also recognizes the existence  maintenance release 115 from the installation Note the Full Media Kit v11.28.32 and Maintenance release 115 are two separate kit. The latter not the full installer but just updatesAny help is appreciated

We’ve noticed that while using LACP mode 4  on our dell r740xd2 hyerperscales that the interfaces have unbalanced amount of traffic if you do IFCONFIG.  I have p1p2 bonded with p5p2 for the storage network.  P1p1 and p5p1 on the data traffic network.  Notice my rx packets and tx packets are very unbalanced.p1p1 tx packets are at 410Gib and its partner p5p1 is at 11TiB for example.   Does anyone see the same on their LACP config or solved this issue?  We see the same behavior on a dell 48 port switch and the cisco 9k using Cisco ACI.  Also on hyperscale 1.5 and hyperscale x deployments. p1p1: flags=6211<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SLAVE,MULTICAST>  mtu 1500        ether bc:97:e1:2c:9b:00  txqueuelen 1000  (Ethernet)        RX packets 11213468144  bytes 14318195329557 (13.0 TiB)        RX errors 0  dropped 0  overruns 0  frame 0        TX packets 1279302179  bytes 440269032106 (410.0 GiB)        TX errors 0  dropped 0 overruns 0  carrier 0  collisions 0p1p2: flags=6211<UP,BROADCAST,RUN

Hello community, I need your help. I want to deploy a FREL without an OVA. I am trying to install the packages on a Linux system, but when I install, I only see "file server" and "File server core". I don't see "VSA".

I was cleaning up some old reports in the Web Console and accidentally deleted the Audit Trail report template. How do I go about recreating that?

We have a windows vmware environment using intellisnap v11.30. There are 3 clustered ESX hosts. and just a couple of VMs. I am trying to do a full VM restore test, however the jobs fail because one of the three ESX hosts are down. During the restore, I select a different ESX host, but the restore error shows CV trying to connect to the ESX host that is down. Is there any way around this? Why is it trying to contact the ESX host that is down despite the fact I ask it to use another ESX host?Error code 91:73 Connection to VM Host <host that is down> has been lost. Please verify the VM hosting services are still running.  

i am following the below link for splitting commserv and media agent , where commserv to a new machine and keepin exising commserv as only media agent ,i moved the DDB using config only option to second instance MA , since the dedup is in same server and location reachable to new MAonce the spliitt is finished media agent and library is online but i am getting below error  

hope everyone if good  i have a very strange issue while installing the client in server it get failed to download binaries from package commvault file system core i have also the log attached herewith. please help to get out of this i have done this ot backup my core server. but unable to install client. 

Hello Community, I am doing 3rd copy of DB backup to cloud library. I have separate Role for customer users created. Customer role has below permissions associated. When browsing backups from Command center under a specific customer user, I can see backups but I cant choose the backup copy. Below is a difference when I am logged in as customer user when I am logged as admin, I see additional option to choose backup copy: I`ve added browse and download permissions to customer user, but it did not helped. I  also tried to add permissions over Storage policy, same result. Kindly help me identify which permission need to be added into customer specific Role or user.Many thanks

I deleted a company, and all associated laptops were also deleted. I performed a commserve restoration, which recovered the clients in the commserve, but the agents on the laptops are still missing. Is there a solution to recover the agents on the laptops without reinstalling them?

I installed Metallic Edge Monitor from our IT service center. I’m on an ARM2 macbook running 14.4.1 When I start up Edge Monitor, and go to the icon, it briefly, for a fraction of a section flashes a login, only to be replaced by “Activation in Progress” which never seems to change, even after hours!  Does anyone have any explanation for this?  How do you think I can fix this?  I can’t tell you the version of Edge Monitor, because the icon is unresponsive (except for Quit).

Hi All,We are configuring GFS disk to disk to tape (different tape media). 1: first storage policy will configure daily Inc and weekly full for first disk keep 7 days 2: first disk daily Inc and weekly Full go to auxiliary copy of second disk keep 28 days3: second disk daily Inc auxiliary copy of daily tape media keep 28 days4: second disk weekly Full auxiliary copy of weekly tape media keep 28 days5: second disk Full (end of month) auxiliary copy of monthly tape media keep 12 monthsRefer another vendor GFS, if weekly full backup day same as monthly, backup execute monthly only. May we know Commvault could setup this? May we know Commvault must keep both weekly and monthly if same day?Best regards
