Hello,Is there a report to list all VMs and the plan/storage policy related to them? 

Actually, I want to configure DR site and replicate VM on DR site.  How ?as I think, first ready DR commvault site, means separately install commserve on different location with multi-instance on primary site and then live sync option through VM replicate to DR site.Right?.If I am wrong, then please correct and guide me.   

Hi, I just have a question that in the File Level Backup, we have an option to use VSS, and the default for this option is to use for the locked files only. I have 1 physical server, and Commvault gave an ERROR CODE [7:332]: “High contribution of backup data from locked files is observed. Consider enabling VSS for all files for this subclient for more efficient backups, while monitoring to ensure that the VSS snapshot does not unduly affect the performance of the computer.” So, should I enable the VSS to all files instead of locked file only?Thank you.

Hello,I have a SolarWinds SNMP server that takes all Windows events from the Microsoft Event Viewer. It took Event 256. But inside this event, there are other events that start at 4125*. Can I filter these numbers to understand which job they are related to?

I configured the backup of VMs created in the Nutanix hypervisor. Everything works except the backup of the VM acting as agent Virtual Server.Its backup fails with the error "Proxy virtual machine is unable to backup itself".What solution can I find to remedy this?

Hi I am trying to run CVDiskPerf on a HyperScale X ver. 3 node that have ransomeware protection enabled.  I am logged in as root, but when I am trying to execute the cvdiskperf command, I am getting “-bash: ./CVDiskPerf: Permission denied”.I have used this command on a HyperScale X ver. 2 cluster without any permission issues when I am logged in as the root user.Does any one know how to solve this problem= 

Testing the Oracle agent on Centos 07 and when following the deployment guide using the web interface and adding a server / instance i noted that the Media Agent package is selected for installation and subsequently installed/ Why so???? It shows in Console having a red icon so hasn't consumed a licence but why would it install?

Hi ! Just wanted to try the Commvault Cloud Commserve staging, as I’m trying to dig into SP to Plans conversion..Following the documentation, I went to https://cloud.commvault.com/webconsole/cloud/edc/Staging.jspBut unfortunately, in the proposed Versions, my current Production version is not listed. I’m on 11FR21 (yes, FR, not SP anymore  ) :So, is this a deprecated feature ? Or v11FR21 is not supported for staging, or just a missing FR ?Of course, what I need to have is a staged environment in the same version as mine, not to a previous (might not work at all) or a next FR (might also not be relevant).. Or maybe I did not get the purpose of this CV CS staging.. I hope I don’t have to raise a case to report this, that’s why I’m asking our Community

Hello,to backup our vcenters in liked mode, we have a script that connect to each esxi that host the vcenter, shutdown the vcenter, perform the backup through Commvault api, then start the vcenters.there is no schedule policy on these subclients adfter migrating to plan,there is a schedule policy inside the plan.on the VMgroup (ex subclient)How can I disable the schedule to avoid this VMgroup backed up automatically by Commvault and let the script schedule the backup (ansible)  ?Thanks

Customer has setup Private Metric server for having reports beyond the Storage policy retention.  He is running the job summary report which to connect to commserve (CommserveDB), he got this updated to Metric server and CVCloud DB, however the jobs reported as still the same as before. We normally order LTO-7 “Type M” formatted tapes. We have a partial shipment came in that is only LTO-7 formatted not ‘Type-M’ (per the label, these have L7 at the end of the label), BUT the tape properties of these tapes (as seen in Commvault) say "Type" and "Format" on the media indicates ULRIUM-V8.I want to “prove” CommVault will not have any issues with some tapes we received when it tries to write to them. Currently we now have a mix in our library of these L7 tapes and unused/half full M8 tapes, which is why I wanted to have proof by actually having CommVault pick the L7 tape and write data to it.I tried doing a “Verify” on the tape (not the drive) and CommVault has this in the job logs, which makes me think CommVault will not use these tapes as they may have already been Type-M formatted, but mislabeled with a LTO-7 label?"The verify response string is [Media in library [TPO Tape Library], slot [slot 51] does not have a valid media label which means that it was not written to by

We’ve got several systems that backup a single drive. There are several mount points within that drive.Is there a way to figure out the backup duration for individual mount points instead of the whole backup job?I haven^t found any hints in the logs yet.

Hello CV Community We have four virtual Media Agents which work in a Windows Hyper-V environment.  Its come to our attention recently that they are failing a VM level backup.  This is due to them having Virtual Fibre channels which are mapped directly to storage.  I cant see anyway of filtering out vFC’s and as a result the backup is failing.  My main questions are  Is it good practice to backup the Media Agents on a weekly basis? If it is, how do I exclude the fibre channels?  The issue seems to be it cannot create a snapshot due to the integration of Virtual Fibre Channels.May thanksTony Q

Hello dears, i have an issue but i actually dont know is it related to commvault or the mongo vendor or a cluster configuration issue . we have a mongo cluster with a replica set configured.we are performing backups successfully without any issues. we are trying to restore the mongo db to a different cluster with same configuration as production,so i have performed out of place restore multiple times with these configuration:picked the destination cluster and checked the automatic restore.  picked the destination cluster and checked the automatic restore and changed the replicaset name to the destination cluster .  restored files only all above scenarios succeeded but with the below error Data files have been successfully restored. But, all the mongodb servers could not be started with the restored data. when we check the cluster after restore we see that the db is trying to connect to the prod servers not the destination servers.  is this the normal behaviour and the mongo admins shou

When restoring an Azure VM from Commvault using snapshot restore, where the disk names are getting changed. We want to prevent this without changing the disk name. Our infrastructure uses Terraform tool which expect resources to adhere to a predefined naming convention.. In the terraform next execution, If the disk name is changed after restore. Terraform automation will remove the restored disk and create a new empty one as per the standard defined.Can you please suggest a solution to prevent disk name changes during the restore process?
