Hi team,my customer started an update SP28 ->SP32 . Update failed due to several issues. We are in solving issue by issue but it will take some time.Now we observed that update procedure starts and wants to continue everytime we reboot the Commserve host.We checked the scheduler but cannot find who iniciates  the update process.At the moment we should not and want not update to 32. Sql is now Ok, but we have still some index V1 issues we want to solve on SP28 before update. Does a key or a procedure exist which lock the update process until we are ready to update?Can anybody help ?Thanks in advanceJoerg

Good morning!This is Stefano, nice to meet you all! I have a weird issue with an IntelliSnap backup on a VMware subclient. When Snap Backup starts, if fails after 40 seconds with the error:“91:44 Error getting datastore list for snap. Possible reason includes virtual machine spread across multiple datastores with multiple vendors.”and also“91:488 Unknown error [0] reported from VMInfo for [xxxxxxxxxxxx]. [Unknown VMInfo error [0]]”I only have 1 datastore so all VMs are on it. I already raised a case with CommVault support and the only solution they provided is to reboot the ESXi host. This is a workaround, not a permanent solution. After the ESXi reboot Snap backup start working again.Today I have again the issue, and this time I cannot restart the host so easily.. Looking to upgrade Commvault with inplace OS Upgrade as well as upgrading MSSQL install during CV Upgrade.The Order of operation i have come up with is:Upgrade Windows Server from 2012R2 to 2019 (inplace) following docs provided here: Performing a Seamless Upgrade on a CommServe Computer (commvault.com) Upgrade MSSQL and CV (from SP16 to 11.24/2022E then to 11.32 (LTS). Questions I have: Are Windows Server 2019 and SP16 compatible? Can I do an inplace upgrade of CV and MSSQL at the same time? Will Components such as the Webserver, Mail Archive Server and Media Agents (on seperate Servers running SP16) still work with the CS being on 11.24/11.32? Happy to hear any advice on this. Cheers,Philip

Hello Commvault Community, I come to you today for asking if it is possible to protect a virtual machine with VSA, where there are both encrypted and non-encrypted partitions. In the case of non-encrypted partitions, there is no problem, it is correctly recognized and protected by the data protection task. However, in the case of encrypted partitions, there is no information about them in the logs, as if he did not see them. When I run the Go Lang API sample, the API call works, but the JSON response appears to be not in correct format, as shown in the example below.}7101"d":2706,"jobIds":[I tried changing the "Accept" and "Content-Type" headers to XML to see if I could receive the response in XML, but this does not work for this API, despite working for a few other APIs.However, when I do this API call using POSTMAN, I get a JSON response in format.{ "taskId": 2655, "jobIds": [ "7045" ]}What seems to be the issue here? I received also the two badges from Credly. From the partner advantage site, they all appear to have passed and I have received the two badges for professional certified and advanced configuration, but I have no way to download the PDF of the professional certification. I have installed SQL server agent into windows server.While installing the SQL server agent, File System core and File system are installed automatically.After the installation, I couldn’t see the File system agent in the client.All I could see is the SQL server agent.But if I check the installed software, I can see the File system is installed.

My goal is to set up my DB server in CV so that it can be backed up my SQL DB server twice a day on two different tapes from my tape library. Therefore, I intend to use 14 tapes in a week based on my condition.But the library tape is selecting randomly and not in accordance with the policy, despite my best efforts to schedule it.I have made scratch group for every day in CV and assigned it to the specific tape thought media in library tab as well as I have given the date path in schedule policy but still my condition is not achievable Is there a way that we could resolve this situation?.
