Is there a Commvault report where I can find out when or who deleted a small file on a Commvault FSA backup ? 

Currently we are backing MongoDB up using Mongo IData Agent with Big Data. We are using the LVM option but are wanting to use the SAN Snapshots. Would we need to setup the Mongo Database to used the SAN Based Snapshots. To enable this would we need to install Mongo DB on a  NPIV based LUN. Is there any documentation on how we would configure this.

Hey there everyone!Does anyone have suggestions on how to go about working around an ISP issue where the 5th or 6th hop out to the internet (from the datacenter) is dropping packets and causing the backup to cloud storage to fail?We’ve tried adjusting chunk size and retry intervals, but it still seems to be hard to get the data through before the entire job fails.Any help would be appreciated. The amount of backup data would be around 4TB for a full. Thanks!

we have done all in one server deployment  on windows server 2019 ,and our security team has done some hardening manuallty , but they are not able to check the CIS Baseline/Hardening compliance foir are not able Apache Web Server and DB ,  what all are the security measures taken in 11.28 software especially for  iis tomat appache and sql , we are not using CIS OVA image . is there anyway to check compliance for separate component

The best tool in this case would be the "Data Retention Forecast and Compliance Report".https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/data_retention_forecast_and_compliance_report_overview.htmlWhere can I find a comparable tool in the Command Center?I would have expected a new report with 11.34. Hi all, We have 2 Datacenters with 1 Media agent on each, they have the exact same configuration but on one the VSS services (SW & HW) are running and on the other one they are stopped.Services are in manual startup so my question is when are those services started? what is the default behavior? Stopped and started when needed? I know this topic has already been discussed but those specific questions weren’t answered. Thx in advance for you answers.

Hello, I’m during the backups migration from tapes to disk library. I have encountered the problem with jobs that are somehow disabled. The retention of job is still valid. Auxiliary Copy is skipping this job.This is the error that I’m getting when I’m trying to pick the jobs for copy

Hi Guys, a wrong message is being displayed in our Commsever (more usage is listed as it is, instead of 6,5 TB it is showing 9 TB of data). I read, that a license renewal file for the Commvault can correct the error. Can you please tell me where and how I can download such a license renewal file? Do I need to contact the sales manager, who is responsible for purchase of Commvault and he will contact the Commvault Team or how does it work? Best regardsEugen

Hi,Is there a way to identify files by name and location who where during the file scan marked as new?We know they are not new as they the data backupped is low.The reason is probably a right or attribute changed as we also see no modification dates changed.Data is located on a network share on a Isilon using a Windows File Agent

We have configured the replication between VMware to Hyper-V. Source VM is hosted in VMware and the destination will the the Hyper-V host  which is hosted in Azure (Nested Hyper-V).  the replication between the source and the destination working fine. Initiated the planned failover job and VM was booted and was running in Hyper-V manager but status was not reflecting in Commvault and planned failover job was failed at ‘POWER ON’ phase after waiting for 20 mints.Error code: [72:167] Description: Operation [REVERT_SNAPSHOT] failed with error [Failed to perform operation: Revert to Snap] for client [].We are unable to find the exact issue and Here attaching the logs. Could you please help me to fix this. 

we have implemented hsx and created aux copy to current storage policies and copied all the data , now we also have other aux copies for the same storage policy to tape,  all the jobs is copied to HSX copy, but tape aux jobs are running , i have disabled the schedule and waiting for the jobs to finish,  can i change the primary copy to hsx once the aux copy is finished, please note that they are qualified aux jobs for tapes copy with status to be copied , will this be copied from primary hsx after cutover,  what is the recommended way , do i need to change the tape aux copy source copy to primary hsx ? 

Please help, it is a critical case, I updated my commvault from 11.32 to 11.34 everything was normal but the next day the commvault OS cannot be found, the disk is not recognized.

Hello dear colleagues,can someone please tell me what to do if the Commvault services on the client no longer start? I don't know what happened, but the services on the client (see image below) no longer want to start. Is there a trick or a recommendation that can be used? Hello ,I need to create a schedule to data verification to copy that go to tape library ,I saw this option in the commcell console,I see option of all picked jobs in the advanced option of the data verification of the storage policy but I don’t see option of all the jobs that automatically go to the tape.I can do ctrl A and select all the jobs is the storage policy copy and checkbox pick for verification   thank you very much!

Hi,we have 2 vCenter and we use the vCenter backup from commvault.Most of the VMs moved from vmcbdf01 to vcenter1.But in the client computer groups i see them on both as active.But why when they are only hostet on vcenter1. Why are the VMs active on vmcbdf01?I have retired the client on vmcbdf01 but then he uninstalled the agent of the client when there was it installed :-(Now some clients are twice in my list.One (with only the SQL backup) is hostet on vmcbdf01.The other one with VMInstance is hostet on vcenter1.

Hi all, Trying to recovery my SLES file server backup as a Vmware virtual machine but I am getting faced with these errors. I have already done the 1 touch recovery backup.  Any tips on where I can start looking? Also, what network configurations should I use if I want to recover this without disrupting my production network?
