Hello There.I have a question regarding the new Indexing CVSolr that was announced for SP22.One of the features is to be able to create an Index Cloud and add nodes as the environment grows as opposed to previous indexing that required all nodes to be added upfront and once done you couldn't add new nodes to the Index Cloud once created.I searched the documentation (SP22 / SP23 and SP24) and did not find any reference of that CVSolr new indexing but the documentation sill states that nodes cannot be added to an Index Cloud once created. Anyone ideas ? ThanksAbdellatif
All "Blackout Window" stopped working
HiSeveral “Blaclout Window” are configured in the system. All of a sudden, everything stopped working. Put the last hotfix, overloaded the CommCell server - it didn't help. I create new ones “Blackout Window”- they still don't work. Has anyone encountered this problem?

i was run Synthectic full backup manual, after some percent like 23% backuo is stopped but showing runing but there any no any chnage. so I Killed that job and run again same synthetic full backup now backup is going very slow, I am not sure synthetic full bckup will not be 100% done. and currently in my console alert error is coming = “License Consomed Exceeds 8%’ System has reached over 100 percent of the limit for [Operating Instances] usage. Jobs may not run. Purchased quantity : consumed quantity . kindly arrange me support
CFT possible for NetApp CIFS backup?
Hi! For Nutanix CIFS backups we have support for CFT (Changed Files Tracking).https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11_sp20/article?p=110109.htm Now I know that Commvault used to have more extensive integration with NetApp than with any other storage system. But am I correct that this feature currentlyis not available for NetApp filers? Thanks!
Email Alert notifications for VM Backup Failure
Hi, We are running v11.22.13 and the alerts have changed behaviour from v11.20.x. We used to get an email formatted as html with the general job status and an attachment as text with the failed vm name and failure reason. This is no longer the case.Now we get an attachment in html form which is just a repeat (copy) of the main email. So not helpful. Also I would prefer the attachment be in plaintext not html.I’ve played around with a variety of alert settings such as sending as text instead of html / with or without “detail as attachment”. I have included the various “VM xxxx” tokens. Nothing has produced the list of failed vm’s. Is this working for anyone running the same version as I am?Cheers,Ron
Unable to view restore history more than 30 days old.
Hello When viewing Restore History Jobs for VMWare restores, I cannot view the VMs that have been restored. I can get the general information but the tab “Virtual Machine Status” is missing and the “Event” tab is empty.I can see the restore job has been run. But not the specifics of the job like what VM was restored. Worth noting is I can see which VM was restored by viewing the logs. If I try selecting “View Restore Items” and select “All” or “Successful” I get the error “No results found”.Looking through data aging Days to keep Data management and collection job histories is set to 360.Days to keep job options for completed jobs is set to 180.Days to keep the restore job histories is set to 360. Is this just an additional data aging setting I am missing? Or is it something else?
Commserve LiveSync issue with 'Production Maintenance Failover' in 11.22.17 #2340
Hello all.Sorry up front for the wall of text but I have spent a few days undertaking a post-mortem into why a very important customer CommCell broke when a very minor update to 11.22.18 took place that left their CommCell crippled for about 4-5 hours. This is just an advisory that with the latest (April 2020) Maintenance Pack of 11.22 does not perform CommServe LiveSync Production Maintenance failovers correctly. The issue is in Hotfix #2340 in FR 11.22.17. For those who were briefly able to get 11.22.18, the issue was not addressed in this release.I have confirmed that 11.22.0, .3, .9. & .13 are unaffected. I had a very lengthy case with support (#210425-83) one week ago after I was seriously challenged when trying to salvage the CommCell as both Production and Passive Instance001 instances were put into a disabled state and documented forced failback features do not work when they are both disabled at the same time. Error in downloading service pack upgrade package.
Hi All, Recently we have deployed commvault hyperscale appliance 1.5 (1300) in infra. Commserve is outside HS appliance and hosted on VM. Commserve is on Sp23 but HS appliance media agent nodes are on SP15. When i try to upgrade package through commserve console, which in turn it initiate package download job. Download job gives below error: Error code: [68:472]Description: Download is skipped for [SP23_3384220:UP7_0] because the media is not available for it. Please suggest on this

Query/Script to fetch service accounts used in Commvault
Hi Team,I am looking for a Query/Script that can be used to fetch the information about all the service accounts that are used in Commcell Environment.Eg: to store DR backups in a Network share/ account used to add the mountpath(provisioned from NAS/SAN) in a media agent etc.These service accounts are not coming from AD and hence are not listed in the Users or Users and User groups. Hence, they cannot be found in the Users and Users groups permissions report from webconsole.Also, these service accounts cannot be obtained from “UMUser” table in CSDB.Is there a way we can obtain this information from CSDB?I have a support ticket 210524-114 opened for this request.Regards,Shashwat

Disaster recovery backup - Completed with errors
For weeks now, the DR backup has been ending with errors.We have reviewed the log and events. We don't see any errors. Move backup data to another place
Hello everyone,I have a situation that I couldn't find in the documentation and in community here in how this could be done properly.We have a attached disk as DAS in the Media Agent and we have the need to move all the backups of the VMs to another place which will be a Cloud Storage.Is it possible to move all the backup data and after this change the subclients to this new Storage that we need as well?(Sorry for my bad english, btw ).
Backup Plans vs Storage Policies
Newbie Alert! Hello Everyone I am new to Commvault I took over an environment which has more than 200 storage policies. These policies were created as a result of plans created using command center. We have more than 2000 VMs and 200+ filesystem clients and Databases. I was wondering how should I approach the cleanup. Is it a good idea to use plans for larger environments, because as a result of single plan there are multiple configurations created automatically. Thank You
Filtering OneDrive content on the local drive
Hello, In Commvault 11.20 Commcell I have a number of hosts that have user files and folders located on OneDrive attached as a contents of drive C:. As a result of backup job I face the following messages [C:\Users\user1\dir1\subdir1\file1.pptx] [0x18B 395] Access to the cloud file is denied.[C:\Users\user1\dir1\subdir2\file2.pptx] [0x18B 395] Access to the cloud file is denied.etc. Is there an elegant way to filter these OneDrive content out?
Activate - Exchange System Governance
We started using Active later last year, ( Amazing for those who have not deployed this yet) and while the file system projects are useful and abundant, I am wanting to add our exchange servers. Does anyone know if you can use just the DB of the exchange server ? or does each mailbox have to be collected within commvault for the crawl/scan to work?
