HiI’m seeing that we add new environments to our Dynamics 365 instance, our Metallic backup doesn’t automatically add them to the backup and we have to add manual. This happens even when we have everything selected for backup.We also see that sometimes these sites show as “Not accessible” in the status.Can someone help?

It says my credentials are incorrect when my jobs run even though I can use them to log into VMware vCenter. How can I troubleshoot this?

My company has an enterprise subscription and I’ve been advised that the CEO’s mailbox may be greater than 100GB. If that is the case will it still get backed up in Metallic? It hasn’t been migrated yet.Thanks in advance.Gerry

Hello I’m trying to understand the versioning of Metallic towards Commvault. I assume that Metallic is just a Commvault with some GUI changes and feature limitations to improve user experience. So, I can see that Metallic agent is running at version 11.3001.36 The most adequate Commvault counterpart seems to be 11.30.23, Platform Release 2023 Preview Version  It means that Metallic users are running on preview versions with different patches or these patches were not yet deployed at Commvault? Or it works differently, how then?

Hi , the data that's backup’d  in metallic cloud , be copied(AUX copy  or similar ) to On-premise  Commvault (Hyperscalex or similar)?  any lead would be appreciated ?

Hello,I would like to ask you advice on my VMware backup Plan.  I took this over from someone else and have been reviewing it.  I have a local storage archive for 90 days and online for 7 years.  I have 8 revolving recovery points being backed up.  The under RPO the backup frequency shows run incremental every 24hrs.  Under Database options the RPO is every 4 hours for log backup and full backup every 3 weeks.  My main concern is the incremental job every 24 hours.  I’m new to Metallic and want to make sure that this configuration is recommended and enough.  I know the engineer helped set all of these plans up so I think it may be fine but I want to be sure.  Thoughts??

We’re new to using Metallic for Salesforce backups/restores and running into an issue when trying to seed data to a Sandbox: Most of the data is seeded correctly, but records aren’t created with the correct record type. For example, all of our Account records are created with the same record type, even though the source data includes a mix of record types. The same thing occurs with Cases and other custom objects. Does anybody have any tips about how to resolve this? We’ve included the Record Type object in the seeding template but this doesn’t make a difference.

Hi,we backup teams with metallic. After a cyber attack we want to scan all attachments in teams. Is it possible to restore all attachments with metallic to scan them?RegardsDennis

We had an exchange online app running backups. the backup jobs looked fine. however the index status had fallen behind several weeks so when i went to a restore, i could not restore anything for the past four weeks. I had to create a ticket, they had to get somone on the backend to startup our index job. to catch up it took several days, during which i could not run a recent restore. is there a way to get a notification if an index starts to fall behind?

Hi I started a full backup of salesforce with metallic at 95% it got suspended with this error, can someone clarify what does this mean and how to get this fixed. Backup job has been suspended by user System. I am setting up Exchage Online Metallic backups.. i see if i follow the express configuration there is no need to create a service acccount but the custom config requires that. Is there a reason the express config does not require that and do i need that created is i use express configuration. I tested and backups worked fine without it, also restores. Also same situaton for sharepoint online. Is the service account required for the express configuration?

Custom Aapp Authentication is required to be enabled at Tenant level in order for backups to run. Is this mandatory prereq or is there a workaround it?

Hello,I wanted to share feedback about recent reporting change called “New Self-Service Report Option: Provides simple report selection options that allow admins to subscribe to reports of interest.” Actually, it’s not an option, it forced all the user to use predefined report’s only where most basic “backup job summary report” is completely gone. Reports are totally out of control now and existing ones are non-editable.  Can you revert that change or at least make it truly optional?

Hello Community I wonder if anyone in the Community can guide me here.  We are going to do away with our current DASH copies to our DR site and instead create a new copy on each Storage Policy to go to MRR instead.  However I was hoping someone could answer a couple of questions on this Is the first copy that goes to MRR a full copy even though its going to be DASH copies   going up to this storage area? Our network team have asked me what the initial backup size will be so they can calculate the time the first job will take if it has to a full.  I have looked at reporting, but what report do I run to see what the full backup (if it is this) size will be on one Storage Policy?  Its only the DASH copies which will be going up to MRR.Any help on the above would be greatly appreciated. Kind regardsTonyQ

Hi as the topic already explains,is it possible to create backup policies based on user attributes. for example department.at the moment we backup every user in our Azure tenant based on a Dynamic group,but we would like to create a different policy backup policy for a certain group of people.for example facility department keeps their backups for 4 years and the finance department for 10 years.I know there is a possibility to create groups in Azure for each department, but that's not very efficient.it would be nice if there could be a policy created within Metallic backup that applies a backup policy based on a user attribute, (in this case department)

Hi All, i have created an azure app , and followed the prcedures from metallic document for the saml integration , i have added one group in the azure app , and tested , it doesnt work, i have added a user in the azure app and created same user in the metallic as external user it worked , what is the procedure to add a external group of azure ad to metallic i have tried to add a local group of same name of azure ad group, but i dont find any option to add role and permission for that group as tenant user or adminall i can see a associated entities , where i get to add certail roles , can someone clarify the exact steps to follow
