Hi all,I am trying to create a custom workflow in my Commvault SaaS tenant (https://m100.metallic.io/). However, i couldn’t find this feature available in the navigator? Is workflow feature only available for on premise version of Commvault?

We are facing a issue with gust files restoration steps getting too much time after 95 % to take the Disk drivers page. Some time error occur for something went wrong. what is the possible cause of this issue.

Hello, I am trying to restore mailbox but i am getting error in Webconsole: Browse failed due to internal web server error. Please check DM2Web.log for more details.In the DM2WEB log on commserver i dont see any errors. When i am trying to restore from java console the option to browser and restore is grey out  Do i still need to install outlook app on the MA to browser?

Hello Commvault Community,I hope everyone is doing will.  Commvault support recommended rebooting our VMWare, VSA access nodes to resolve the high number of VM backup failures errors below (x4 access nodes):(1) Could not read data from the virtual disk. (2) VDDK thread timeout, possible VDDK deadlock encountered After the reboot, I created a test subclient adding four of the affected VMs.  he backup was kicked off manually.  Rebooting the access nodes appears to have worked.  The backups are running with no error. I have a large amount of VM jobs Queued because of a blackout window (7:00am 5:00PM).  These jobs are configured to use the recently rebooted access nodes. I noticed some of the VMs under the queued jobs have the errors listed above. Question: Should I kill these jobs and allow a fresh scheduled job to start or will the Queued jobs reset the VM’s that have errors?  Thank you.

Hello Guys,I will be adding a new media agent to our existing comcell environment. After installing commvault software on the new media agent and sharing the mount paths of the disk library with the new media agent. Will the storage policies associated with this disk library be updated automatically to include the new media agents in the "data paths" tab? Or should I manually navigate to each storage policy and add the new media agent in the "data paths" tab?

good evening, i am studying about proxy and i am quite confused about proxy vs vsa proxy vs network gateway, which are the use cases?i am configuring a local storage pool made of 3 different media agents with local discs, and like to add another REMOTE storage pool for aux copy, someone suggests me to put in front of media agents a proxy for limiting and controlling access, but i quite confused, is better proxy, vsa, or gateway? thank you.

My Aux Copy jobs going to Metallic cloud storage have been stopped for the past three days. I’ve asked my network team if there are any issues and they are asking for the connection information. I can see my on-prem media agents easily enough but can’t seem to find any of the details for Metallic. How do I find network details on the Metallic cloud storage?

Can Commvault backup a volume from a C60 and restore it to a C50? C60 is in our Production environment and C50 is in our test environment.

Hi,we have an Oracle tape library and sometimes i must clean the drives. I must do that over the web console from the library. Is it not possible that commvault does it automatically when a cleaning is needed?Thanks and regardsDennis

Hi all,I need to archive files for 1 year, but I do not have the archive licenses.My current configuration is as follows:Storage Policy: 1 year, 0 cycles. Incremental backup every day (the first backup was a full backup). A share where files to be saved for 1 year are deposited. If the incremental backup completes successfully, a Unix script deletes files older than 15 days from the share.Problem:The jobs do not expire after 1 year. Thanks

I’m looking at creating a sharepoint client through API. In 11.32 we had to do some manual steps with App-permissions. This does not seem to be nessescary any more in 11.36.However, documentations describes uploading a certificate in the app registration. The api-documentation does not provide a way to do this as far as I can see.https://api.commvault.com/docs/SP36/api/cv/OpenAPI3/create-sharepoint-client/How can we upload this certificate through the API?

Hello Community,We recently acquired a new infrastructure that includes Commvault version 11.32.69, an HPE ProLiant DL360 physical server running Windows Server 2022, and an HPE MSL2024 library with two LTO9 drives. This infrastructure was implemented to back up a small environment consisting of SQL databases, a VMware 6.0 environment with 20 virtual machines, and some SQL Server databases.Although the initial setup seemed promising, we have encountered two significant issues that are impacting our backup operations: Excessive Cleaning Cartridge Requests (Case 250110-656) 🧹: During backups, the LTO9 drives frequently requested cleaning cartridges. This issue persisted even after HPE replaced both drives three times and after adjusting the Drive Clean parameter in the library properties to a value of 515. Hi all,quick question. I have upgraded to 11.36 and I just noticed my DDB backups run every 3 days now.Found why they changes from the BOLhttps://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/changes_in_commvault_platform_release_2024e_01.htmlSystem created schedule for deduplication database (DDB) backups are run once every 3 days. What is the reason they changed them to every 3 days ? I used to to have them run daily.  Thanks 

Thinking of renaming some policies and subclients to make them more readable.Does this break anything? Jobs? Retention? Schedules?Pretty sure Commvault tracks these by IDs, so it shouldn’t matter… right? But wanna make sure there’s no funky behavior hiding.Also , what happens if you’ve got one subclient doing backups and another doing replication for the same VM? Could this mess up snapshots or indexes?Like, is it gonna throw errors because two subclients are both taking snapshots of the same VM? Or maybe cause some weird restore behavior?Appreciate your help overall!   

I can see in the health dashboard that there is a Cleanup report which shows clients that are in a VM Image and a client based backup but is anyone aware of  a report that would show clients that are in any two or more schedules. For example two Client FS backups.. Thanks for any advice.

We are starting to use the VMware backup validation feature (it’s great!) and we are getting quite a few “Fail to boot VM” results in our weekly test. Using the “Validate backup” per VM the mounted backup looks promising but Commvault shuts it off.Can the wait out time be extended? 

We need to move the current CommServe environment to another server due to space issues on the current server.What are the best practices for conducting this migration?
