Hello All,I am planning for the expansion of one of our Hyperscale X clusters on Dell Reference Architecture. I have 2 questions that I would love some input on. -Node LimitOne of my contacts told me that there is a 12-node limit on storage pools (HCX clusters). Then after the 12th node is deployed, we should plan to make a new storage pool. I found that odd because my last contact told me that there was no limit on the number of nodes. The only limit I have heard of is the 5PB capacity that CommVault has tested internally.The no limit is documented here:Storage Pool Expansion and Capacity Planning For HyperScale X Appliance (commvault.com) The only mention of a 12 node limit I could find online is that we can only deploy 12 nodes at a time in the initial configuration. Hello everyone, I've to upgrade hedvig and os on hyperscale nodes.Checking the remote software cache path on HSX node, the CVAppliance folder was missing. So I've rerun download+sync of the all packages but CVAppliance folder still miss on the remote cache while on the Commserve cache folder is correctly populated.What have I to check? Hi,On the command center, I can only schedule frequency as Daily, Weekly or Monthly; what if I want to schedule the reports to run daily at 9 AM, but skip Sunday and Monday? I know on the Java console, I can select which days I want to send out the reports. I just wonder if I could do the same thing on the Command Center? Thank you.
We have just added some new Hyperscale X to our environment, and new disk libraries created.I want to move/ copy some jobs with extended retention rule to the newly created libraries. Please what is the best possible way to do this? Thank you in advance.
We’ve noticed that while using LACP mode 4 on our dell r740xd2 hyerperscales that the interfaces have unbalanced amount of traffic if you do IFCONFIG. I have p1p2 bonded with p5p2 for the storage network. P1p1 and p5p1 on the data traffic network. Notice my rx packets and tx packets are very unbalanced.p1p1 tx packets are at 410Gib and its partner p5p1 is at 11TiB for example. Does anyone see the same on their LACP config or solved this issue? We see the same behavior on a dell 48 port switch and the cisco 9k using Cisco ACI. Hello,we have a customer has commvault archiving solution, with traditional installation as below.1x cs vm in HQ site2x windows MA +index in HQ 2x windows MA +index in DR2x Webservers in HQ 2x Webservers in DR2x webconsole in HQ2x webconsole in DRnow customer bought 2x HSX Appliances 1x HQ, 1x DR what is the best practice to migrate the data and hardware? im thinking of the belowdeploying the HSX with the existing CS vm configure the HSX as MA and index nodes dash copy the data to the new HSX offload the old MAs +index and keep the WSs and WCs as it is is this approach okay or there is a better approach? another question, if i’lll copy the data using dashcopy:will be any issue recalling/restoring the data after demoting the old MAs? will be any issue during outlook addin recalls? thanks
Hi Team,i have started the NW configuration wizard for my Apollo 4200 based HSX nodes . on each node i have 6 interfaces( 2x 1G, 4 x 10G). when i create LACP bond1 in the wizard, i can see all my 6 interfaces available to choose for bond creation and i chose 2 10G interfaces for the LACP bond1 creation and tagged my VLAN to the bond1.However later i can assign “Commserv registration” OR “Management” only on this bond1, i dont see “data protection” and “storage pool” options in the list.any idea what could be causing this ? i have not configured switch link aggregation(LACP) yet , is this the reason i am not seeing data protection or storage pool in the list ?please provide your valuable guidance.
Hi,am I right in saying that “Scheduling AirGap Intervals on HyperScale X Nodes” pretty much just shuts down access to the HSX between the times you enter ie 9am - 9pm ? https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/essential/scheduling_airgap_intervals_on_hyperscale_x_nodes_01.html Also, if I have a second HSX cluster in my DR Site that just stores AUX copies and I enable scheduled AirGap intervals what happens if an AUX copy is still running as it got delayed ?
on Apollo 4200 server, we have set up all HW configurations as per Commvault documentation and then loaded ISO in ILO.Later the installation completed as above attached . But when i click "finish" button server reboots and screen is stuck in commvault hypercale page, please guide with next steps. we can see a cursor below, but no response when we click enter.

Hi,I have a new install on Ref Arch version 11.32I am going through the “what to do next” BOL to make sure all is secure. For the Firewall I run # firewall-cmd --state but I do not get a response telling me the state of the firewall. I run another cmd I found systemctl status firewall and it replies. Any reason why the CV cmd in BOL does not work ?

Hi Team,i request you to help me with below error i observed during my 7 x Apollo server HSX installation in DC1 site. i downloaded the ISO from commvault site to my local system and transferred to DC2 windows jump server and successfully installed in DC2 site on 7 x HPE Apollo Servers .Later i transferred the ISO to DC1 jumb server and also have verified that all HW configurations in DC1 servers are as per HSX documentation, but when i start installation on HPE apollo servers, i get below error, please help !
HI All, i just want to know the process how the data get reconstructed on the disk after the replacement. I’m aware the hyperscale uses Erasure coding in back end but not sure if we have any document defining the process.
