Hi All,CommServe stopped working after the 2023-11 Cumulative Update for Windows server 2019 had been installed.There are some strange issues with the CommServe database. cvd.log:… CheckDatabaseUpgradeInProgressOrRelease() - Product Version [] does not have all required fields.10464 2abc  12/27 14:16:49 ### ValidateDatabase() - Aborting startup as database upgrade is not complete. Please make sure that database upgrade is completed successfully.10464 2abc  12/27 14:16:49 ### cvdPostInitCSChecks() - Failed to validate the database. Will retry after 30 seconds and DatabaseUpgrade.log:validateInputParams() - Database Upgrade Script Version [] does not have all required field.) I am not aware of any Commvault update/upgrade at the time of CU update.We are planning to fix it by DR recovery. Could someone provide us with another option? Thanks.Lubos 

We are unable to see the option for WORM on CommCell console in Commvault 11.30. According to new releases what exactly is the difference.

Unable to setup the copy pipeline, Please check the connectivity between Source MA[MA1] and destination MA [MA01]Please advice or give me any solution for the above issue

Hi everyone,I’ve a problem, After installing Exchange package on Exchange 2016 on-prem server as shown in documentation, I try to add exchange mailbox agent as shown in https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11_sp20/article?p=100566.htm and when i try to add a new application type I get a message “Creating this application type is not supported. Use the Exchange Mailbox agent from the Command Center or the Commcell Console”.Plz tell me what to do.

I created a storage policy and changed the storage policy from one of our Postgres clients to this new one storage policy. Storage Policy used for all Archive Log backups from the old one to new one: SP_PJe-2G.  Data Storage Policy from old one to new one: same SP_PJe-2G.  I ran some Incremental jobs, just log backups, and today I realize that during the Full Backup Job there was a comunication between the new MA server cvault-ma-20 and the old one, cvault-ma-02.  This new storage policy has the following Data Path Properties.  The MA server cvault-ma-02 is not a member of the Storage Pool STGPOOL_SC05.Why the new MA server, cvault-ma-20, is talking to the old MA server cvault-ma-02?  ANOTHER QUESTION: 10.1.66.47 is the other MA server on Storage Pool STGPOOL_SC05. I suppose that there is communication between the client and both of two servers because of deduplicating process. After SLES 12 to 15 os upgrade, how to reconfigure CommVault clientas installation files gone by os upgrade.do i need to reinstall the client or any other way to recover commvault client configuration?

we are not sure where in the registry it is to change the system time to fix this problem. or if there is a better solution to these issues 

Hello team, Has anyone migrated archived emails from different vendors to commvault?  i know that there are tools to perform this kind of migration transvault and quest but, has anyone tried to perform a manual migration from any vendor to commvault without any tool, is it possible?

Hello good,I have a question, I would like to be able to manage the backups so that they are not executed if there are not entirely free streams to assign them, but rather that when all the streams are configured in the free backup it is executed.Example so you can understand me:I have an Oracle RAC backup (2 nodes) with 4 streams per node for a total of 8.I want it not to be executed with the streams that are available at that moment if there are not enough to reach 8 and thus use all the configured ones, I mean that if there are 4 free streams in the Storage Policy, do not perform the backup with those 4 streams but Only do it when all 8 are available.Is there a way to manage this? any variable/additional settings?Thank you,All the best.

Hello,I want to confirm that the Un-aged jobs on a tape library can be used to extend existing retention on a tape that is not exported yet.I want to increse the retention before export it. Thanks !

All backup jobs seem to be stuck on waiting and dont seem to go any further and stay on waiting. 

Hi Folks, Configured one of the windows client in Commvault 11.28 version. While creating the backup, in properties→ Content→ Browse→ Available Volume Drives are not listing up. Hi, We have CV running at 11.32.30 and CommServe configured in HA with Livesync working perfectly fine. As a part of the organizational change, we have to modify the CommServe HOST NAME for both active and passive Commserve Hosts. Can we do this change with out any harm to the configuration? if any one has performed it or if it is documented, can you please point me to it ? I am a little worried to do this change as it can disturb the entire configuration. Any quick suggestions will be of great help. RegardsRaj 

Hi,I have a Domain Controller and we back it up with Activate Directory agent and File Level backup as well. However, when I tried to restore a file in the folder SYSVOL, I found out that Commvault did not back up that SYSVOL folder at all. Does anybody know why Commvault skipped backing up SYSVOL folder?Thank you.

Why do we need an Database user and a Unix username when configuring the MySQL Server backup agent?   

IncrementalSpecifies the job as an Incremental backup, which backs up only that portion of the data that is new or has changed since the last backup. will there be any record in incremental backup if a file has been deleted since last backup. For ex: i have full backup on sunday and then incremental and next sunday synthetic full , how does the system track the deleted files or file that has not changed since last full backup.  i tried to restore a folder to different location. it worked fine , then i deleted a file from source and performed a incremental and restored but the deleted file is still there in the restored location .

Greetings! We’re performing a new backup of an Exchange 2019 database.   Before running the backup, we had ~ 4000 log files.  After, ~400.  This sounds good.  But we note that the log files remaining are indeed from the last 2 weeks (beginning of the month).  Any clue why some files would remain.. ?   Thank you for your time! 

Hi,I recently observed, that executing “retire client” on a CCM imported Client deleted the client resource regardless of still existing backups.The same applies to the Workflow “retire clients”https://cloud.commvault.com/webconsole/softwarestore/#!/136/671/22103that can execute the retire operation on a group of clients.Is this a product error ?This can easily lead to a situation where clients are deleted and backups are lost even though not intended.Observed this behavior on a V11.32 CommCell.To solve the dataloss issue, I had to repeat the CCM export / import operations for the affected clients.rgdsKlaus
