Hello, i have a problem when i make a backup from some mssql databases with the transaction log backup.Then comes the “warning”/”info”: Failed to set up DataPipe. The connection with this product's Communications Service on MediaAgent may have been reset. Check if the service is running. When i make a full backup it works fine. My CommVault version is the V11.34.5 on the CommCell and the MSSQL iData Backup Agent on the client side. Thanks a lotDietmar

We need to delete the storage pool library (StoreOnce) but it shows the error "Could not complete function:[CVMACMediaConfig::DeconfigureLibrary()]- missing parameter:[MediaAgentName/LibName]. We are not sure something is wrong?.

Customer wants to recover a calender item from an Exchange Database.But the recovered object has now the message icon and got the message class ID.The documentation only mentions “messages” but doesn’t list “not supported” message class items.So, it would be great to get some feedback and maybe even the documentation updated to make it easier for other user to find. kind regardsJoerg

Hi team,Im facing an issue witg exchange 2019 Backup is running good no issue But when i try to restore a database it failed with error vss writer errorI checked the vss writer no errors.Checked event viewer log and found an event id 8194 access denied I have added the network service user to COM security and rebooted the exchange server and performed the restore again i got the same error but the event viewer log hsa changed to id 4356exchange, application, service VSS writer, failing restoring a backup. Has anyone faced this issue before ?  It is a dark site and i couldnt get the logs.

Hello, What is best practise to add onedrive,teams apps to commvault through vpn express tunnel? Do i need to create private endpoint first and how to configure the routing through the endpoint? Now commvault trying to connect through the public address.  I can add package through custom configuraton but failed on authorize app, If i use expres configuration with global user its saying that username/passwoord not correct 

Hi Team, I'm very new to the Rest API, but I was only able to create an authtoken :) As far as I learned, when the authtoken is created, the max. It can be used for 30 days. After this period, it is necessary to create a new authtoken and use the new authtoken. Hi,when I want to restore a VM with vTPM module, the certificate changes when I switch on the VM and I have to enter a recovery keywhat is the correct way to restore a VM with TPM module correctly? Are there any settings missing here or is there something that needs to be taken into account on the VMware side?

Cannot update copy with override retention when storage pool is using Storage WORM lock property set.It is only possible to add/remove associations when we remove the option of WORM storage lock?I know the procedure.@Commvault feedback: It is maybe better to make possible that we can add. Our devops team have a test that validates the commvault client group with below powershell command../qoperation execscript -sn GetClientGroup.sql -si cg=$group | Select-string -Pattern "^$(hostname)$"They execute that command inside the E:\\Program Files\\CommVault\\Simpana\\Base.The file 'GetClientGroup.sql' no longer seems to be in the E:\\Program Files\\CommVault\\Simpana\\Base folder. So our test is failing.Do you have any idea on how we can validate commvault client group via powershell or any other way.Thank you!!

We have large RDS SQL server in our environment and currently backup is not using multifile option and backup is very slow. I check the AWS documentation, it says that for large large database it support multifile backups.Importing and exporting SQL Server databases using native backup and restore - Amazon Relational Database Service Amazon S3 has a size limit of 5 TB per file. For native backups of larger databases, you can use multifile backup. example:Example of multifile backup exec msdb.dbo.rds_backup_database @source_db_name='mydatabase', @s3_arn_to_backup_to='arn:aws:s3:::mybucket/backup*.bak', @number_of_files=4; My question is Does Commvault support (v11.32) multifile backup for RDS SQL server. Best Regards  

Is there any down time associated with performing a a ‘live recovery’ for a VM(s)?i.e.- complete a ‘live recovery’ job for VM1. During or afterwards, any negative affects or downtime on VM1? 

Hello Team,We are going to implement new Commvault backup solution.Currently the backup solution running VM's image backup and application like SQL, Oracle and Exchange is configured agent based.SQL DB -  Always-On & Failover cluster (both configuration is available). Going to new Commvault solution will use below mentioned configuration.Will take entire Image backup.  Will take image with application-aware backup also. For SQL Always-on what is the best practice will follow the VM's with application-aware (each SQL AG group will create job and include VM's in part of AG). What is the backup configuration of SQL using Windows failover VM's (is it supported application aware backup).  

I want to fetch the job details by  “job started by” and “job started from” job started by will give the admin/system who started the joband job started from will give started by schedule or manual or gui etc. Motive is to get the job details with the schedule details as well such that I can filter out only scheduled jobs excluding manually initiated jobs. Can someone please help me to get the details form csdb , I am not able to find which db and which table to search for these details.

Hello all,I have personal and shared folders on my file server. These folders contain different types of files. I want to archive files that haven't been accessed for 2 years by creating shortcuts, and I want to delete files that haven't been accessed for more than 4 years without creating shortcuts. I want to perform these actions across the entire file server, but I also want to exclude some subfolders where I may need to apply different policies based on user requests. How can i achieve this scenario? Any comment will be appreciated.

Hello,I have a VM that has a pass through PCi device configured (GPU).I need to backup this VM.As  snapshots cannot be taken and CV agent cannot be installed due to network restrictions, I thought of turning off the VM before backup.There I have a couple of questions:Which technology will the pre-script use: ssh to ESXi Host, Rest-API to Vcenter or Powercli from media agent?Where is the script hosted? On the VSA=mediaagent or on the ESX Host?Are there any examples available?. I did not find anything on the net.Thanks for the support
