Does anyone know which URLs need to be reachable by a Commcell for an access node for EntraID backups?  These are the URLs I know, but perhaps there are more or this information is incorrect or outdated. Hi, Have installed a new 11.34 and need to move the CS to a new domain. How can I change the CS hostname in CommandCenter?I manage to change it under Manage - Servers - CS client - hostname, I clicked save and it did not complain. But it also did not change the previous hostnamne. Documentation for 11.34 still refers to Commcell Console which requires a supportcase to get an authcode. Br, /Patrik

Hi all. I have a Storage policy copy where I have deactivated the copy by removing the check mark in the “active” check box, because I don’t want to use the copy any more and just want to age data out.My questions is. Now that I have deactivated the copy, will data age out, or will data only age if the copy is active?I ask because it seems that data is not aging when the storage policy is not active.  Regards-Anders

Hi,I’m currently doing MongoDB sharded cluster implementation. I manage to backup the sharded and config server, now trying to do some test restore.Is there any ways that I can simplify the process, without affecting the production server.I understand that I can do out of place restore, but I do need to prepare another set of mongodb server which currently I’m having difficulty to provide the resources.The “Restore files only” option, can I use this to test the restore to another path within the production server? While running auxillary copy job media marked as appendable its not full , after appendable is not reusableThis appendable media is not full, also tape is getting stuck inside the drive,if we can reuse this appendable tape without erase the existing data(because we data retention in 5 years) please share any solution for this issue

Are you able to Aux copy directly to S3 Glacier Deep Archive (cool tier), without having write to hot tier?

Good morning! We’re setting up a PG instance with Commvault.  We’re running on RHEL which has a default block size of 4k, but it appears PostGres uses a block size of 8k.  Should we be setting RHEL to use 8k blocks for the database mounts?  If so, can you tell me why?  Our OS folks are curious. Hello Community, Our client wants to us to trigger Oracle dataguard backups only from secondary node. I couldn’t find a setting on “Preperties” to set it. Does anyone know how to do it? Or if it’s even possible? The primary node is very loaded so they wish to run all backups from secondary. Thanks!!Zivile

Hello Commvault Community!One of the environments had a problem with backing up virtual machines in Azure.Some virtual machines return an error during backup:"91:413 Encryption status of one or more disks doesn't match the setting in ADE Extension of VM [XYZ]. [All] disks are expected to be in encrypted state.Source: CS, Process: JobManager"The problem occurred for version 11.28.100I see that there is a patch for SP30 with a similar description: Lengthy restores of Azure ADE virtual machines can fail with the error "Failed to setup encryption settings for the VM" - 6577 (11.30.53).https://documentation.commvault.com/v11/expert/files/service_pack/updates/11_30_83.htm However, I don't know if this is a fix that applies to backups, because the description refers to recovery operations.I created this thread to ask whether this may have an impact on the situations on SP28 or whether these are completely independent scenarios and matters that should not be combined.Could I ask you to verify

When the backup is complete, the records disappear in 10 minutes in Job Controller  I want to make sure that it doesn't disappear Until I refresh it  

Hello,Planning to add a new partiotion to an exiting DDB. I’ve went through the documention and have a doubt on the below.The addtional 0.5MB of data will be added only to the magnetic disk the holds the DDB or will it be also added to the Disk library mount paths ? “After running the Backup1, you add Partition2 and run Backup2 of the same 1 MB of data. After the second backup, 4 signatures of 128 KB size will be added to Partition2 (even though the same signatures exists in the original store) and for the other 4 signatures only the reference will be added in the original store (as the signatures already exists).
