I am trying to push the media agent package on an Azure VM from the Metallic portal and it always fail with error 68:224 Description: Connection error. Check if services are running on client Any idea what is causing this error? Thank you.

Hi fairly new to Metallic so bear with me please. text files logs are being created in c:\windows\temp and are on a Azure vm with the  Metallic file server agent installed, i was wondering if anyone had a idea of what is generating these logs, a service or other.    

Hello,We are very new to Commvault Metallic, less than a month old, and the question is, is there a place in the Plans or anywhere else to configure network throttling for remote servers? We also have remote Hyper-V clusters with lots of VMs and would also to throttle those backup jobs too.I know from the documentation, there is an option to throttle the network for Clients and Laptops and we don’t really backup laptops. And I don’t see any options on the Console to do that for servers and VMs.We are throttling our network now on the firewalls, but it’ll be nice if we can do it on Commvault.Thanks in advance for your assistance. Mandi

We are currently having performance issues with our backups of Dynamics 365 and are looking to use the "Enable Table Change Tracking" feature.The owning team have sought clarification on whether or not this option is simply enabling and leveraging the Dynamics 365 Change Tracking feature, and if so, what implications could that have for their environment?Also, is there any indication as to when / if we can expect Dynamics 365 to be included in the core Commvault platform?

My actual question is , if  we want take bakup job of secondary copy or multiple copy. ?how to configure or process ?how many maximum backup copy job can take ?

Hi,I am using Metallic to backup an O365 Tenant.Can I add a second tenant and start backing up it straight away ? the second tenant is a mix of user & shared mailboxes so will these new user mailboxes just take from my current Tenant mailbox license pool? Thanks 

Hello experts,I have a question about O365 backups on metallic.When creating a plan, it is not possible to define whether the backups will be full, incremental or differential.How does commvault Metallic work with backups? One full per week and X incremental?Kind regardsMax

When selecting system to restore the overview is bypassed and displays the content.  I will have to select the time range from the content page.  This only happens on 1 system from what i can tell so far. 

Hi,I have just migrated my mailboxes to o365 and I am using Metallic to back them up.There is now a need to enable Journaling on o365 so can Metallic backup / archive this mailbox ? What are others doing that have a similar config to mine.Thanks 

Hello community,I have a customer that uses Metallic (I know Commvault Cloud… :-)  ) and they are asking if Metallic backs up the SharePoint retention tags/labels of SharePoint objects. They heavily use those and before implementing they want to make sure they are protected and restored with the object.I looked everywhere and just couldn’t find the answer.Anyone has an idea?Many thanks in advance.

i can see only incremental and log backup for server plan , we have requirement to keep weekly monthly to different retetion , i created custom plan where daily incremental is set and i have removed log backup schedule , when i tried to add anthoer schedule i dont find option as synthetic full , and if i click full its select database agent

Hi Expert, I’m a newbie for Commvault cloud. Would like to check why the exchange backup job operation type name as Archive? But teams and one drive is name as backup. 

We are trying to restore a user's messages from the web portal due to legal issue. When I search for the account it appears to be completely grayed out. And when selected I am unable to see any information about the account. Its almost like its corrupted. The users last backup was from Nov before they quit. I have excluded the name and info but its very strange that this mailbox is experiencing this.  

Hi all newbie here. just a quick question please,  While trying to restore a Azure vm in Metallic to Azure out of place, I get an error failed to create the container for Virtual disks under the storage account.  Should i speak with our Cloud people about this first before troubling Commvault. as i may not be choosing the correct storage account.   Regards  Tony

Hi,i try to backup my OneDrive users with Metallic.Configuration seems ok. Teams and Exchange Online works fine.If i try to backup OneDrive i get the message that the subclient is empty or not vaild.How can i solve this?RegardsDennis 

Is there a recommendation for exporting large mailboxes to PST? I’m trying to export a 90 GB mailbox. Trying to use the search feature does not really help unless I’m using it wrong.  Thanks for any feedback.   

Hi All,I’m wondering about how many times the job manager in Metallic will retry a job that is scheduled, if for some reason like connectivity issues to the workload present and Metallic cant effectively run the job (maybe not a good scenario, it may just failed not sure). As in how many times it will retry by default? I know there are parameters for this under the traditional Commvault platform, but haven't found it in Metallic.Kind thanksMark

Hello,Just wondering if there was a specific way to control who (via a creation of a role potentially?) has access to administer and manage certain backup workloads from other backup workloads? Trying to work out how one would specifically segment this access and functionality. E.g. Database Admin only has access to be able to Managed backups and restore SQL Database backups.Kind thanksMark

Hi, Can anyone please advise how I can find out when/where are database was restored to?  I’m talkign about SQL databases that might have restored in place, out of place or to a file. The DB I’m interested in will not have been restored to it’s original server but I need to know where else it may or may not have been restored.   I have access to the Java GUI and the browser interface.  I can see a report called “Restore job summary” but that is a summary, I need to be able to filter by (source) database. Thanks  

Hi there, I have a question. I have a customer that a few days ago try to do a backup from and endpoint for the file type (.bak). Is it possible to do the backup for this type of files?Or I need to do this from the File & Object backup?Can you help me? 

When I try and restore a Notebook, I do not get a functional notebook that will open.  Are there other pieces that need to be restored in order to have it work properly?
